Virtual Counseling Support
Virtual Counseling Support
Students and Parents:
We know how important it is to maintain a strong balance of positive academic performance and mental well being during our full virtual schooling model. Therefore with the current response to the COVID-19 pandemic of social distancing, stay in place orders and off-campus schooling we recognize it may difficult to manage all of the changes and stress. SSAE wants to emphasize that we are here if students are in need of counseling support for social or emotional concerns.
There are several options to seek support:
- You can let your teacher know you are having issues dealing with stress
- They will help you connect with someone
- You can email, text or call your grade level Counselor to let them know you need support.
- Chelsea Martin: Grades 3rd - 8th cmmartin@d49.org, Cell Number: 719-432-8179
- Katy Swann: Grade 10th - 12th kswann@d49.org, Cell Number: 719-213-0336
- You can reach out to our newest Counselor who will also be a great resource during this time.
- Jenny Allen: All Grades jaallen@d49.org Cell Number: 719-761-8490
- Tell a trusted adult and they can help you make contact if you need assistance
- If it is an emergency or you feel someone else's life might be in danger please make a report through Safe2Tell or call 911.
