THE WAY OF THE YETI

Springs Studio's mascot is the Yeti for a reason.  The mascot was chosen to represent the characteristics of students who can achieve Academic Excellence. The Yeti represents the concept of a growth mindset over a fixed mindset. Our belief at Springs Studio is that all students have the ability to grow academically.  NO ONE is born with a certain set of skills and cannot grow beyond those.  The most common fixed mindset is "I am not good at math" or "Our family is just not good at math". Brain based research indicates that this fixed mindset is not true.  We are simply just not good at math "YET" but with effort, grit and support anyone can learn the skills necessary to be good at math. It may not always be easy but it is possible. We will encourage all students to think big, foster a belief in their selves that they can get better every single day.
