Middle School, 49 Pathways Milestones
Grade 6 | CIC Activity | Location in CIC (from Student Home Page) |
1. CIC Log-in Check | Login to: www.collegeincolorado.org Password: Your Student Number (ex: 123456) | |
2. Basic Skills Survey (15 minutes) | Click the Your Portfolio tab at the top right of the page. Next click Career Planning in the gray menu box. Click Your Skills in the center of the screen. Then click “Try the Basic Skills Survey” in the Basic Skills box. After completing the quiz, read the descriptions of your basic skills. Then click Review Matching Careers. | |
3. Goal Setting | Your Portfolio > Click D49 Milestones by Grade Level > Scroll to the My Goals and Action Plans box. Click Set Your Goals & Action Plans. Next, click Type of Goal and choose from the drop down menu. Do the same for the other boxes. Click Next. On the next page, enter your statements for each of the questions in the SMART boxes. Then click Next. On the goal summary page, enter in an Action Plan task to help you achieve this goal. |

1. Interest Profiler (20 minutes) - add at least 3 careers to Portfolio |
Career Planning Tab > Learn About Yourself > 1st box on the left side of page is Interest Profiler. Complete the Interest Profiler and then fill in the Reflecting on your Interest Profiler box. Next click Matching Careers. After viewing all the careers options matched to you, choose specific careers you are interested in. Click on a career, and on the left hand side menu click Add to Portfolio. |

2. Career Key (15 minutes) |
Career Planning Tab > 1st box down is Learn About Yourself > right side, 3rd box down is Career Key. Then click View Careers. After viewing all the careers options matched to you, choose specific careers you are interested in. Click on a career, and on the left hand side menu click Add to Portfolio. |
